* Merci de vérifier le contenu de votre dossier anti-spam. Il existe *quelques* systèmes de messagerie qui filtrent les fichiers textes dont le nom se terminent par .key. Veuillez vérifier que nous pouvons vous envoyer des messages !
* Si nous découvrons une utilisation malveillante de la clé d'enregistrement, nous n'enverrons rien ou nous vous informeront directement.
* N'hésitez pas à nous contacter via l'adresse électronique mentionnée dans le manuel PDF si vous avez des questions. Nous sommes là pour vous répondre !
==Comment utiliser un indicateur horaire externe/alternatif ?==

'''L'utilisation d'indicateurs horaires externes/alternatifs suppose que vous possédiez une licence valide pour la simulation.'''
*1. Sauvegardez l'horaire (fichier MDB) quelque part sur votre disque dur, par exemple dans le répertoire 'C:\Utilisateurs\[Nom]\Mes Documents\Signalsoft\[Nom de la simulation]\Data' ou 'C:\Utilisateurs\[Nom]\Mes Documents\Signalsoft\[Nom de la simulation]\Downloads'.
*2. Dans la simulation, l'activation de l'horaire de votre choix se fait via l'option '''Settings -> Simulation''' ('''Paramètres -> Simulation''')

[[File:Faq external timetable en.png|15%|none]]

* Activez l'option 'Use custom timetables'.

==Pourquoi est-ce que le train n'est pas renuméroté ?==

==Que signifie cette sonnerie ?!==

=== Signal de luminosité ===

=== Tous les passages à niveau ===

=== Annonce d'un Train ===

*1. Zug im Anflug
*2. Zielgleis heraussuchen
*3. Zugdeckungssignal auf Halt stellen (Nummer + ALT+H + Pfeiltaste + Eingabe) = HaGT+ZT1+ATK
*4. Start-Ziel eingeben.
*5. Zug kommt zum Stehen
*6. 60 Sekunden warten
*7. Zugdeckungssignal auf Fahrt stellen (Nummer + ALT+G + Pfeiltaste + Eingabe) = SGT+ZT1+ATK
*8. Abfahrtzeit abwarten
*9. Fertigmeldeleuchtmelder abwarten von der Aufsicht
*10. Ausfahrt stellen, 1 Minute vor Abfahrt - Abfahrtzeit
*11. Luft holen... Geschafft!

* Das LETZTE Zugdeckungssignal hinter dem Zugschluss des vorderen Zuges wird auf Halt fallen
* Das Einfahrsignal bleibt HALT
* Sobald der vorderen Zug abfährt und am Zugschluss das Gleis freifährt, springt das haltzeigende Zugdeckungssignal auf Kennlicht und das nächste Zugdeckungssignal kommt auf Halt. Automatisch!
* Jetzt kommt auch das Einfahrsignal auf Fahrt.
* Es fahren jetzt zwei Züge. Einer fährt aus dem Gleis, einer fährt rein!

[[File:Lineops_small_logo.png|none]]

[[Gebrauchsanleitung_Streckenverbindung#Was_ist_bei_der_Streckenverkn.C3.BCpfung_zu_beachten.3F|Lesen Sie hier weiter]]

==How do I get and install my licence key?==

Please register at [http://signalsimulation.com/registration]. The registration code is located at the back of the manual accompanying CDs, or provided by the retailer when purchasing from a download shop. The registration code contains only letters.

Within 10-60 minutes after registering, you'll receive a confirmation email (which verifies that your email address actually exists, and was typed correctly.) '''Register only once.'''

Once you have registered and confirmed your email, you may receive a licence key within 48 hours. Once you receive a licence key, [[Licence Keys|'''follow the steps provided here''']].

=== Help! I didn't get a confirmation email ===
* if you entered in a wrong email address: it's hard for us to correct that! Just try again after 2 hours or so! About 5-10% of the registrations are affected by that.
* check your spam folder, please! There are several "post man" email servers that are very overzealous and just throw away the email, without telling you! We can't change that. Please ensure that we can send you emails! (The email we send it from, you can find in the .pdf manual)
* we do NOT reply to email systems that require us to register/confirm the sending of an email. The system monitoring is done by a team, we simply have no time for that.
* did you buy a 2nd hand CD? Notice that we ONLY send the licence key to the first person that registers. The issuance of a licence key is a free and voluntary service from us.

=== Oh! I got the confirmation email and clicked on the link, but still don't have the licence key! ===
* again, please check your spam folder. There are *some* systems that don't allow a text file with the ending .key to get through. Please make sure we can send you emails!
* if we discover malicious use of the registration key, we will NOT send out a licence key or otherwise inform you about the non-issuance of the key.
* feel free to contact us via the known feedback email address (see manual .pdf) if you have questions. We're there to answer!
==How can I use an external/alternative timetable?==

''''You can ''only'' make use of external/alternative timetable when you have a valid license key for the simulation.'''
*1. Store the Timetable (mdb-file) somewhere on your hard disk. This is typically done in a folder called 'C:\Users\[Name]\Documents\Signalsoft\[sim name]\Data' or 'C:\Users\[Name]\Documents\Signalsoft\[sim name]\Downloads'.
*2. In the Simulation you can set which "own" timetable you would like to use. This can be found under '''Settings -> Simulation'''.

[[File:Faq external timetable en.png|15%|none]]

* Activate the option 'Use custom timetables'.
* Custom timetable directory : normally this the default folder is set for you here, but you can change it where needed.
* Preferred Custom Timetable : the timetable mdb-file you want to use, i.e. 'C:\Users\[Name]\Documents\Signalsoft\Braunschweig Hbf\data\[timetable-file-name].mdb'

If you don't want to lose an old (self-made) timetable, you can rename the file name of the new timetable.
The built-in timetable will not get lost. You can always revert to the built-in timetable, by disabling the ''Use custom timetables''.

==How can I print an (external/alternative) timetable?==

The user has the possibility to print a timetable (to PDF) on his own.
You need to activate the Dev mode for this first (see [[Command Line Options]]) by applying the "-x" option

*1a. Modify the shortcut icon for your simulation (typically on the Desktop) --> click right on the shortcut icon, and from the popup select Properties
*1b. In the text entry "Target" you have to add at the end " -x" (space minus, x). (i.e. --> "C:\...\Remagen.exe" -x).

*2a. If you now start the program, you will see a new item in the menu bar on top called "Dev".
*2b. Start the simulation, being sure you have the correct timetable activated i.e. a custom timetable
*2c. Go to the Dev menu-item and search for the "Print timetable" option.

You will get several options, like language and sorting type (train number/ time / arrival/departure)
The "time" sorting gives a wrong sorting in case it is a timetable for multiple simulations, like the ones of the Rheingold line. Is has to do with the fact that the rheingold timetable applies to more then one sim.

You will need a so-called "PDF printer" to be able to print to PDF. PDFCreator is available for free, but there are more free solutions.

Before "printing" to PDF make sure you have selected this PDF printer.

==Why isn't the train number box renumbering?==
The sim has two modes of box numbering:
* Automatic: The sim attempts to change the train ID in the number box, but this does not always work, and a train ID is not changed properly, or is "left behind". The [[ZNP801]] system should be used to change train number boxes in such cases. With a bit of practice, the ZNP801 is quite fast.
* Realistic: In this mode, the dispatcher is much busier!

==The train's steering number is wrong!==
* If a train automatically renumbers, the steering usually is updated automatically. In rare cases, though, it's necessary to change a steering number manually. The most common case is changing from "0" to another number. This must be done manually, and is purely for safety reasons.
* Your neighbour may have made a mistake by entering the wrong steering number for a train.
* If the steering number is wrong, the system will not notice or complain. It is the dispatcher's responsibility to notice these errors.

Steering number changes are done using the [[ZNP801]]. For example, enter '''14711-24711''' to change the steering number of train 4711 from '''1''' to '''2'''.

==What's that buzzing noise?!==
When the interlocking system cannot set a route from a signal when in automated mode ([[Activate Fleeting Button|SBET]]) a buzzer will sound. To disable the buzzer, you must first identify which signal is buzzing. There will be a flashing indicator light next to, or near the signal. Once the signal is identified, press [[Deactivate Fleeting Button|SBRT]] together with the signal's button. Once the situation has been fixed, normal operation can be resumed using [[Activate Fleeting Button|SBET]].

==What's that ringing sound?!==

=== Signal Brightness ===
At night, the outside signal brightness is dimmed; during the day, the signal brightness is brighter than at night. This brightness is controlled manually by using the [[Signal Brightness|"Day/Night" (Tag/Nacht)]] buttons together with the [[Station Button]]. There is a photosensor that detects the amount of sunlight outside. When it is dark outside and the signals are bright (drivers would be blinded) or if it is daytime and the signals are dim (drivers cannot see signal aspects well) then a bell will ring. To silence the ringer, press the '''WUT''' button to acknowledge the situation. Then, press either the Tag or Nacht button together with the [[Station Button]] to toggle the signal brightness.

=== Full Barriers Level Crossing===
If you turned on the expert option "operate full barriers manually" you must indicate that the crossing is clear by pressing the BÜFT group button together with the main level crossing button. Both have a yellow dot.

Only then the square light (crossing locked) at the crossing will light up and the signal clear. The bell will stop then.

The slow ringing sound is meant to remind you of an outstanding action.
Incidentally it might happen that the bell gives one or two rings on opening of the crossing. This is due to the relay delay.

=== Announcement of a Train ===
Trains entering your area will ring once. Trains leaving your area or, better said, extinguishing a blue exit light will ring a bell.

==What are the coloured rings around buttons after they are pressed?==
These indicate [[SpDrS60_Panel#Input_Feedback|input feedback]]. They indicate the outcome of a particular set of inputs.

==What are those blue rings around the buttons? Why can't I press the buttons with the blue rings?==
To prevent operator errors, some buttons are by default equipped with a glass collar. This is only to prevent incidental pressing the button. By operational rules it is required to have those buttons collared.

More information about [[SpDrS60_Panel#Collars|collars around buttons]].

==I have more than one computer screen/monitor. How can I make the simulation fill all my screens?==
The main simulation window is a normal Windows 'window'. Un-maximize the window (if it is already maximized), and stretch the window to the desired size, spanning multiple monitors if needed.
<!--

*1. Trein in aantocht
*2. Aankomstspoor/spoorsectie opzoeken
*3. Zugdeckungs-sein op Stop zetten (Nummer + ALT+H + Pijltoets + Enter = HaGT+ZT1+ATK )
*4. Start-Doel ingeven.

2.
*Kies "''Nieuw Baanvak Starten''" in de Wuppertal Hbf simulatie .
*Kies "''In een baanvak meewerken''" in the Wuppertal-Vohwinkel simulatie.

[[File:Line ops localconnection nl step1.png|none|Stap 2]]

3.

[[File:Line ops localconnection nl step2.png|none|825px|Stap 3]]

4.

==== Voice Communication Main-Weser-Bahn ====
The following table shows a suggested port mapping plan for using voice communication in the simulations being part of the Main-Weser-Bahn.
Note that only the first port (Voice Channel 1) is to be configured in the simulation. The simulation program expects the next 2 ports after the configured port to be available for voice communication as well. === Example for connecting simulations manually===

==== Connecting simulations on one computer ====

This example shows how two simulations can be connected together on one and the same computer.
The example is done for connecting the Wuppertal Hbf simulation with the Wuppertal-Vohwinkel simulation.

1.
*From the main screen choose "Line Operations" in both simulations which are to be connected.
Wuppertal Hbf will be the main simulation, Wuppertal-Vohwinkel is the connecting simulation.

2.
*In the Wuppertal Hbf simulation choose "''Start New Line Operations''".
*In the Wuppertal-Vohwinkel simulation choose "''Join Existing Line Operations (Expert)''".

[[File:Line ops localconnection en step1.png|none|Step 2]]

3.
*In the main simulation, set the proper ports numbers (see port plan on this page). The most important thing is that the selected port numbers '''must be different''' in each simulation!! Select "127.0.0.1" as IP address. This address is the local host address of a computer. Then copy the server code to the clipboard, using the button "''Copy Code To Clipboard''".
*In the connecting simulation, set the proper port numbers and select "127.0.0.1" as IP address. Paste the server code from the main simulation in the entry field "''I want to connect to''".

[[File:Line ops localconnection en step2.png|none|825px|Step 3]]

4.
* Start the simulation in the Main simulation by pressing the "''Start''" button. Wait until this simulation is up and running.
* Start the simulation in the connecting simulation by pressing the "''Start''" button. Once the connecting simulation is up and running, the simulations should be connected with each other.

5.
*If you want to connect another simulation to the main simulation (so Wuppertal-Oberbarmen in this case), you have to do exactly the same thing following the "connecting simulation" procedure. If you want to connect to Wuppertal-Vohwinkel (so with Düsseldorf-Gerresheim), you have to use the server code of Wuppertal-Vohwinkel (outlined in green) as Wuppertal-Vohwinkel will be the main simulation for Dü-Gerresheim!!

==== Connecting simulations on a local network ====
The procedure for connecting simulation in a local network (LAN) is pretty much the same as for connecting simulations on one PC.
The difference is that you have to select the real IP address of the computer, for both the main simulation as for the connecting simulation. Additionally, you might have to ensure that your firewall allows communication over the ports being used.

5.

[[File:Line ops localconnection de step1.png|none|Stufe 2]]

[[File:Line ops localconnection de step2.png|none|825px|Stuf 3]]
