Normalerweise schalten sich [[Level Crossings]] automatisch aus, wenn der Zug darüber hinweg gefahren ist. Zum manuellen Ausschalten gibt es die '''Hilfsausschalttaste (HAT)'''.
Normally a [[Level Crossings|level crossing]] is deactivated automatically as soon as a train has passed it. The ''Level Crossing Auxiliary Button'' (HAT) is used to manually deactivate a level crossing.

Before using the HAT button, it must be made sure that no train is approaching or passing the level crossing!
In most cases this is automatically achieved by revoking the routes, but even then, it must be made sure that all trains have stopped.

Purpose

Normally a level crossing is deactivated automatically as soon as a train has passed it. The Level Crossing Auxiliary Button (HAT) is used to manually deactivate a level crossing.

Level Crossing Auxiliary Button

Operation

All train routes and overlap routes via the level crossing must be revoked before operating the HAT !

Pressing the HAT together with a Track Button will revoke the securing, as far as existing for the track, and deactivates the level crossing. In case the level crossing has been secured for more than one tracks, the securing must be revoked for each individual track first. After that the levelcrossing will be deactivated..

There is a counter next to this group button as operating the HAT is subject to documentation.

Examples and Notes

There are two possible scenarios that require operating the HAT:

  • Release of the level crossing did not take place after a train has passed it.
  • The train movement didnot take place. This could be the case in the event ..
    • a wrong route had been set;
    • the level crossing had been activated accidentally using the Level Crossing Manually Close Button.
    • the train can not drive, for example due to a technical malfunction.

Before using the HAT button, it must be made sure that no train is approaching or passing the level crossing! In most cases this is automatically achieved by revoking the routes, but even then, it must be made sure that all trains have stopped.
