Before you get your approval to run the service on a signal box, you need to find out about the local characteristics. After training as a general trainee signalman, dispatchers were always paired with a person skilled in the signal box. This chapter is a brief introduction to the area. Read it carefully. It contains very important information.
The text is "peer to peer" written as if you are in the signal box, the first day after training.

Introduction
Welcome to the signal box Kirchseeon (Kf). I'm Toni and I'll show you everything important here.
Our signal box is "relatively" new. It was taken into operation in its current form in 1988. Before that time, a signal box of type Dr S60, which was taken into operation in 1965, controlled train traffic here. That one was replaced when the line was expanded to four tracks. With our panel we have to look after the entire area between Haar and Grafing train station. It's divided into a long-distance line (blue) and the S-Bahn (green) and includes the train station of Kirchseeon and the remotely controlled station of Zorneding. Since we are on the Munich-Salzburg main line, there is a high volume of trains here, which has everything to offer from regional trains to the Railjets. In addition, we also have the S-Bahn lines S4 and S6 in our area, which depending on the time of the day run every 10 to 20 minutes and sometimes turn around or stable in our area.

Neighbouring Dispatching Areas
On the right-hand side is our neighbour Trudering, which remotely controls our the neighbouring train station of Haar. In Haar it is possible to change over from the long-distance line to the S-Bahn and in Trudering from the S-Bahn to the long-distance line. So in the event of a disruption it is relatively easy to divert the trains. On the long-distance train to Haar there is the possibility for bi-directional running (GWB=Gleiswechselbetrieb), but unfortunately the S-Bahn does not offer us this luxury.
Along the S-Bahn line there are also stops at Vaterstetten (409/410) and Baldham (411/412).
Our neighbour Grafing train station connects to us on the left-hand side. There the line to Wasserburg branches off, which is used by the S-Bahn to Ebersberg. Similar to the lines on the right-hand side, we also have GWB on the long-distance line but not on the S-Bahn.
Along the S-Bahn line we have the stops Eglharting (413/414) and Kirchseeon (415/416), which is where we are right now.

Kirchseeon
Our Kirchseeon train station basically consists of the two pass-through tracks 105/103 and the overtaking track 104. In addition, the stop Kirchseeon is right in front of our window, which is serviced by the S-Bahn and which separates us from the long-distance train tracks by a noise protection wall. Due to this obstructed view, it is urgently necessary to wait until the train has stopped on tracks 105,104,103 before revoking an overlap route, as this does not happen automatically here.
Kirchseeon station is also equipped with simple auto fleeting on Esig 1A and Esig F as well as on Asig 1N5 and 1P3. If a train is to be overhauled, the entry route must be set manually at an early stage before auto fleeting sets the route into the pass-through tracks 105 or 103.
Zorneding
Der auf unserem Stelltisch weiter oben angeordnete Bahnhof Zorneding wird von uns ferngestellt, der Bahnhofsteil der Fernbahn ist größtenteils identisch mit dem in Kirchseeon. Wir haben zwei durchgängige Hauptgleise 201/203 sowie unser Überholgleis 202. Im Bereich der S-Bahn haben wir neben den durchgehenden Hauptgleisen 204/205 auch noch das Wende/Abstellgleis 207, in dieses rangieren wendende S-Bahnen zum umdrehen und am Abend dann auch zum abstellen. Wie vorhin schon erwähnt kannst du in Zorneding von der Fernbahn auf die S-Bahn ausweichen, die Züge müssen dann jedoch bis Trudering auf dieser weiterfahren da es erst dort wieder eine Möglichkeit gibt auf die Fernbahn zu gelangen.
Auch in Zorneding haben wir an den Signalen 2A,2F,2B und 2G einen Selbststellbetrieb zur Einfahrt und an den Asig 2N1,2P3,2N4 und 2P5 einen zur Ausfahrt. Ich empfehle dir jedoch in den Hauptverkehrszeiten Morgens und Nachmittags den Selbststeller am 2N4 herauszunehmen das es sonst schneller passiert als du denkst dass eine S-Bahn die Wenden sollte weiter nach Grafing fährt.
Der Durchrutschweg löst an allen Signalen automatisch auf.
